Frequently asked questions

What if my prices vary a lot from job to job?

We check your own job history before answering. If it shows a job type is tight, leads get an instant, guaranteed number. If it's wide, leads get a range that narrows as they answer a couple of questions, or an honest "let's get eyes on it" instead of a guess.

Am I giving up control over what I charge?

No. Every quote is a draft until you approve it — one tap by text. You can turn that off once you trust the drafts, but nothing goes out under your name without you seeing it first. Drafts count toward your first ten free quotes; approving one costs nothing extra.

What if my quotes or invoices aren't digital, or aren't organized?

Upload what you have — a stack of PDFs, a folder of photos, a spreadsheet, whatever it is. We do the work of figuring out what you actually charge.

Is this just an AI receptionist?

No. Plenty of tools will answer your phone and book someone to come look. Quoteline does that too, but it also tells the lead an actual number — the thing that gets you booked before the next call they make.

What happens to a quote once it's booked?

Confirming the quote is what locks in the booking. Once the work is done you either confirm that number or edit it — if the job grew, change it — and that becomes the invoice, with the job, price, and customer already attached. That record is what lets Quoteline tell you when a customer's due again, chase unpaid invoices, and remind you about recurring work — without a separate CRM.

How can leads reach you?

Text and email today. Phone is coming and is the priority long-term, since that's where most leads already are.

How much does it cost?

Your first 10 quotes are free. After that: $1 for every quote we generate, and $5 more for every one that actually books. No monthly fee.

What if a quote turns out wrong?

Every quote carries "confirmed on site" — your own trade's standard convention — so nothing is final until you look at the job in person.
